Privacy policy
What we collect, and what we don't.
Short version: enough to fill your order and answer your email, nothing sold, no advertising trackers.

Lumo Skin Co. ("we", "us") is a small skincare business based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This policy explains how we handle personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for British Columbia, the Personal Information Protection Act (BC PIPA).
What we collect
- Order and inquiry details you type into our forms: your name, email, shipping address and any notes.
- Newsletter email, only if you enter it.
- Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) that our hosting provider records to keep the site running and secure.
We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking pixels, and we don't build marketing profiles. Your bag is stored in your own browser (local storage) and never leaves your device unless you submit an order.
Why we collect it, and your consent
We use your information only to: process and ship your order, reply to your questions, handle returns, and (if you asked) send the occasional batch email. By submitting a form you consent to this use. You can withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time by replying to any email or writing to us.
Cookies
We use only what's technically necessary: local storage for your shopping bag and a session flag so the newsletter popup doesn't nag you twice. No analytics or advertising cookies are set.
Sharing
We share the minimum needed to get your order to you: your name and address go to Canada Post for delivery, and payment is handled by a third-party payment processor when we send you an invoice. We don't sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
Storage and retention
Order records are kept for as long as needed for tax and warranty purposes, then deleted. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Data is stored with reputable providers; no method is perfectly secure, but we keep access limited to the people who need it.
Your rights: access and correction
Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
