N°02 Why Lumo exists

Started at a kitchen table because nothing simple worked.

Erin MacLeod spent most of 2020 reacting to almost everything: fragrance, ten-step routines, "brightening" actives that left her cheeks raw. In spring 2021 she started mixing small batches in her apartment near Fraser Street, testing on her own reactive skin first.

Lumo is still small. We make three things well instead of forty things loudly. Every batch is numbered, and if something isn't working for your skin, we'd genuinely rather hear about it than pretend.

N°03 A morning that takes two minutes

The whole thing, start to finish.

Cleanse

Massage a coin-sized amount onto damp skin, rinse. Skip it in the morning if your skin runs dry.

Three to four drops on slightly damp skin. Give it a minute before the next step.

The questions we get by email.

We ship from Vancouver on Tuesdays and Fridays. Within BC and the Prairies it's usually 2 to 5 business days; Ontario and the Maritimes run 5 to 9. The North and rural routes can take longer, and we can't control Canada Post once it leaves us. Flat rate is $9 CAD, free over $75.

Yes, within 30 days. Unopened items get a full refund. If you opened it and it just didn't agree with your skin, email us within 14 days and we'll refund the product cost. Return postage is on you unless we sent the wrong thing. Details on the shipping & returns page.

Short lists, all published on each product page. No added fragrance, no essential oils, no dyes. The serum uses niacinamide at 4% and panthenol. Nothing here is drug-strength: no prescription retinoids, no high-percent acids. If you need those, a dermatologist is the right call.

Daily use of all three lasts most people 8 to 10 weeks. Because batches are small and low-preservative, use them within 6 months of opening. Each jar has a batch number and a fill date on the base so you can check.
